Third-division club leaks HC Erlangen’s major management change

HC Erlangen appears to be getting a new sporting director — at least if one is to trust third-division club VfL Lübeck-Schwartau, which has now revealed who will take over the role, according to German newspaper Bild.

HC Erlangen has faced a tough season. The team currently sits second to last in the Bundesliga table and looks set for relegation.

But that’s not all. Bild previously reported that the club was searching for new sporting leadership, and now it seems to be finalized.

The German third-division club VfL Lübeck-Schwartau has announced that its CEO will take over as sporting director, replacing the current holder of the position, Daniel Pankofer. The club also stated, “Daniel Pankofer at VfL, who is moving on to the management of Bundesliga club HC Erlangen.”

Erlangen has yet to confirm the news themselves.
