Aaron Mensing and MT Melsungen join forces until 2028. The contract has been extended for the Danish left back, writes Melsungen on its website.
– We’ve taken the next step as a team and developed further, says the 27-year-old.
– I know my role and my responsibilities, Mensing continues to the club webpage.
With an upbringing in southern Jutland, Melsungen played for clubs on both sides of the border from an early age. A significant move took him to SG Flensburg-Handewitt between 2021 and 2023, one year later he opted for more playing time in Bundesliga signing for Melsungen.
The debut season led to 60 goals in 16 league matches, with a slightly abrupt ending as he tore his achilles tendon in March.
Having accepted that the season was over earlier then expected, Mensing can now look forward to a total of three more years with the team. Most likely the injury time will extend into 2026.
– Aaron helps us enormously. His injury doesn’t change that, says the coach Michael Allendorf to the club webpage.
