TSV Hannover-Burgdorf defended the podium position but TBV Lemgo Lippe came close to an away surprise. VfL Gummersbach did what was needed to deny VfL Potsdam points in the other Friday duel.
Hannover stood on somewhat shaky ground with two straight losses and Lemgo was keen to use the opportunity.
Renars Uscins pulled a heavy load with ten goals for the home team and Hannover managed to stay on top despite allowing Lemgo a chance to equalize in the last attack.
Gummersbach is within reach of top seven and had one of the easier evenings in the spring program entertaining Potsdam to a four-goal-win. Most of the work was done before the break with 20–13, Gummersbach was up by eleven mid-second half before Potsdam could rush to reduce the deficit.
