Lasse Møller stays at SG Flensburg-Handewitt. The left back has extended his contract until the 2028 season.
– We are very pleased that Lasse Møller has extended his contract ahead of time, says the club’s CEO Holger Glandorf in a press release.
The 28-year-old Dane joined Flensburg in 2020 after a couple of very strong seasons at GOG. After a few injury-plagued seasons, the club has now decided to extend the contract with the left back.
– I feel very comfortable both handball-wise and personally in Flensburg, so I was really happy about the contract extension. We have a fantastic team, and I want to continue contributing to writing SG’s history as successfully as possible, says the eight-goal scorer from the Nordderby earlier this week.
Møller was part of the Danish World Cup squad that won gold in 2023 and has made a total of 16 appearances for the Danish senior national team.
– It’s a great reassurance for us to have Lasse in our squad. He has everything it takes to be an X-factor. He can shoot from distance and is strong in one-on-one situations. Lasse has an incredible offensive quality that we can now tie to SG long-term, which is very good for us, says the team’s coach Nicolej Krickau.
