Domagoj Duvnjak will no longer be the only Croatian at THW Kiel, as 24-year-old pivot Veron Nacinovic has joined the club on a three-year contract.
– THW Kiel is an institution in world handball, says Nacinovic on Kiel’s website.
Nacinovic had a strong season with both Montpellier and Croatia, scoring 19 goals in his last Euros campaign. Now, the 24-year-old has signed a three-year deal with THW Kiel starting in 2025.
– THW Kiel is a great club, an institution in world handball. For many young handball players, it is a goal to play for THW Kiel – it is the same for me, says Nacinovic.
Nacinovic debuted for Croatia at the age of 21 and has played in the Champions League for both Montpellier and RK Celje.
– Veron belongs to the new generation of strong pivots. Despite his young age, he is on his way to becoming an absolute leader in the Croatian national team. He brings a lot of experience from top-level games in the national team and his current club says Kiel’s managing director Viktor Szilagyi.
