The crisis is over in THW Kiel. On Friday, they secured their fifth straight victory in the Bundesliga – thanks in large part to Niclas Ekberg, who scored seven goals in the 40-32 victory.
Earlier in the week, Niclas Ekberg was presented by Ystads IF, where he is moving after the season. But during Friday, the edge legend showed that he is definitely not checked out yet.
The Swede accounted for seven of the goals as THW Kiel defeated Eisenach 40–32 away from home. A match where Hendrik Pekeler (six goals) and Stefan Weinhold (five goals) also impressed for Filip Jicha’s team.
The victory means that Kiel puts pressure on the top teams in the slightly limping Bundesliga table. It was also Kiel’s fifth straight victory in the league game and, looking at all competitions, they now have eight straight games without a loss.
