A well renowned coach will apply his skill set in Bundesliga starting 2026/27. Juan Carlos Pastor has signed a two year deal with TSV Hannover-Burgdorf.
– I see a team with great potential, dedicated players, and a fan base that lives and breathes handball, he says to the club webpage.
Pastor had a new job in mind since he stopped with the national team of Egypt last summer.
The most significant stints for the 57 year-old was BM Valladolid in his home country, Spain followed by ten years where Pick Szeged in Hungary really grew to challenge the main title competitor, Veszprem KC.
– From the moment the opportunity arose to join the RECKEN, I felt this was the right place to continue my career. There was no doubt in my mind, as the club’s solid sporting project, its stability, and its clear pursuit of further growth convinced me, he says to the club website.
Pastor will take over after Christian Prokop, while Heidmar Felixson stays as assistant coach.
