Jennifer Kettemann leaves Rhein-Neckar Löwen

Rhein-Neckar Löwen presents a management change when Jennifer Kettemann steps down from the leading position. Kettemann resumed duty in 2016 and leaves the Mannheim club who finished twelfth in Bundesliga.

In a press release, Rhein-Neckar Löwen announced that Kettemann will depart after a mutual agreement. The managing director achieved results as RNL doubled up in league titles and DHB-Pokal, but 2023/24 was an obvious exception.

Rhein-Neckar Löwen reached final four and won bronze in European League. The Bundesliga table shows the lion team on position twelve after losing five of the last six rounds.

The economic situation also appears in the background of Kettemann´s exit. The 42-year-old herself had to make a tough decision when Tobias Reichmann´s contract couldn’t be extended because of the economic conditions.

– Jenni has developed the Rhein-Neckar Löwen enormously in many areas over the past eight years. She has set standards in the areas of social media, sponsorship and marketing in particular. She deserves special thanks for her extraordinary commitment and innovative strength, said Supervisory Board Chairman Lars Lamadé in the press release.

Holger Bachert, already involved in the organisation in the sale and sponsorship department, take over Kettemann´s role on an interim basis. Meanwhile, Rhein-Neckar Löwen seek a successor for the key position.
