Bundesliga side Wetzlar has secured a new goalkeeper for next season. The 34-year-old László Bartucz, who currently plays for Melsungen, has signed for the club.
– I’m delighted that we were able to secure Bartucz’s services, says sporting director Michael Allendorf.
It’s been a tough season for Wetzlar in the Bundesliga. With just eleven points from 28 games, the club is currently fighting to climb out of the relegation zone. But there is some good news, as they have secured a new goalkeeper for next season.
Hungarian international Bartucz has signed for the club. The goalkeeper will join regardless of whether Wetzlar gets relegated or not, and will replace Andreas Palicka, who will leave the club in the summer.
– From my time at MT, I know László very well and value not only his sporting quality, but above all his character. With him, we are also gaining a lot of experience and calmness in goal, which will be very important for us. I’m delighted that we were able to sign him, says Allendorf.
