HB Ludwigsburg have been crowned champions of the Bundesliga after defeating HSG Blomberg-Lippe 26–22 in the second leg of the playoff final. Following a dominant 36–29 win in the first leg, Ludwigsburg capitalized on their title chance and secured the championship.
Despite a slow start and an early 1–3 deficit, the defending champions responded with a six-goal run to take control. Blomberg briefly rallied to level the score at 9–9, but Ludwigsburg pulled away again to lead 12–9 at halftime. In the second half, they stretched their advantage to 24–14, effectively sealing the match before easing off in the closing minutes.
