Hannover-Burgdorf has reached an agreement with two youngsters. Both Justus Fischer and Renars Uscin have extended their contracts with the Bundesliga club.
– Their extension is a strong signal for us. We are ambitious and have a lot planned, says Hannover’s head coach Christian Prokop on the club’s website.
After yesterday’s loss against Füchse Berlin, it was confirmed that Hannover will miss out on European handball next year. However, it was also confirmed that sixth-placed Hannover have extended contracts with both Justus Fischer and Renars Uscin.
– The two have impressed with top performances both with us and in the national team jersey in recent months and are without a doubt the faces of the future, says sporting director Sven-Sören Christophersen.
Fischer, 21, scored 34 goals in his European League campaign and has been with the club since the tender age of twelve.
– It means an incredible amount to me to continue playing for my youth club in the future. I grew up here and always get goosebumps at home games, says Fischer.
They have played together in the German youth national teams and both played a big part in winning both the U19 European Championship and the U21 World Championship. Both players were also part of the squad in the Euros earlier this year.
– As was the case last year, the positive development and the huge potential of the club spoke in favor of the extension. I want to constantly improve together with the team and the “Recken”, says Uscin.
