Göppingen are reportedly interested in signing Icelandic right back Einar Aðalsteinsson ahead of next season. According to German newspaper Stuttgarter Zeitung, the Bundesliga side are considering the IFK Kristianstad player as a potential replacement for Victor Kløve.
Kløve is expected to leave Göppingen for Flensburg next season, prompting the club to look for replacements. Aðalsteinsson is reportedly among their targets.
Aðalsteinsson joined Swedish side Kristianstad in 2024 and has since established himself as an important player for the club. Last season, the Icelandic international played a key role as Kristianstad won both the Swedish Championship and the Swedish Cup.
Göppingen already have an Icelandic international in their ranks in the form of captain and line player Ymir Gislason. The German side currently sit 13th in the Bundesliga.
