Transfer rumours surrounding Simon Pytlick gained momentum on Monday, but Flensburg has now officially shut them down. In a statement on the club’s website, they made it clear they have no plans to let the Danish star leave in the summer of 2026.
– We will not let Pytlick go in the summer of 2026, and there is no clause for that either, said sporting director Ljubomir Vranjes.
Earlier in the day, several media outlets reported that Flensburg and Füchse Berlin had agreed on a transfer deal for Pytlick, worth between 700-800k euros. According to the reports, the leftback would go to Berlin in the summer of 2026, joining his national teammate Mathias Gidsel.
However, later that evening, Flensburg issued a clear response: Simon Pytlick is staying.
The club emphasized that Pytlick is under a long-term contract, with no release clause valid for the summer of 2026, and that he remains a key part of their future plans.
– We want to continue on the path we’ve started with him, said Vranjes.
Flensburg did, however, confirm that there is a clause in Pytlick’s contract — as previously reported by Danish TV2. That clause could potentially open the door for a future transfer, but not before 2027
