Eisenach snatch last-second point against Gummersbach

It was a dramatic ending when Eisenach took on VfL Gummersbach. Despite the visitors holding a two-goal lead late in the game, Eisenach managed to fight back, with Stephan Seitz scoring the equaliser in the final seconds.

With two wins in their last three games, Gummersbach were looking to continue their good form as they travelled to Eisenach. The visitors got off to a great start, with their attacking stars leading the way.

Both Nikola Roganovic and Alex Dujshebaev found their rhythm early, taking turns to score. A 6–2 lead after ten minutes put the visitors in control, forcing Eisenach to fight to stay in the game.

However, the home side managed to build some momentum just before the break, and three quick goals brought them back to within one. That set the stage for a dramatic second half, with everything still to play for.

Both teams struggled offensively after the break, and it was not until Dujshebaev stepped up again that Gummersbach regained the advantage. His crucial goals put the visitors two goals ahead and in a strong position to claim victory late in the game.

But Eisenach showed character and, thanks to some crucial defensive stops, gave Stephan Seitz the opportunity to snatch a point. He made no mistake, scoring the equaliser with just five seconds remaining. The draw leaves Gummersbach in 10th place, with Eisenach sitting 13th.
