SG Flensburg-Handewitt continued their higshcoring streak to top the league table. Somewhat surprising, TBV Lemgo Lippe has second position, following 25–22 versus Rhein-Neckar Löwen.
Flensburg´s capable and versatile attacks has produced seven wins in nine games so far. Even though ThSV Eisenach kept some hope after the frenetic run to 20–23 there was no turnaround of the match to come.
Emil Jakobsen scored eleven times and didn’t miss a single shot, Marko Grgic followed suit with distance capacity from the left and Simon Pytlick held his focus to distance Eisenach with creative solutions.
TBV Lemgo Lippe was no throne contender in the pre-season evalutions but the splendid autumn form continues to bear results. With Niels Versteijnen (eleven goals) and Constantin Möstl (45 percent saved) as the prominent player, Lemgo stood their ground in a game that was decided early on in the second half. Rhein-Neckar Löwen only got closer as the chance had vanished to pose any threat, three goals separated the teams in the end.
ThSV Eisenach–SG Flensburg-Handewitt 32–38 (20–23)
TBV Lemgo Lippe–Rhein-Neckar Löwen 25–22 (13–9)
