Bundesliga: Important win for Eisenach

ThSV Eisenach took control of the four point game against HSG Wetzlar. THW Kiel ruled in the northern duel and defeated HSV Hamburg for a second time in a prolonged week, 31–25.

Kiel has had its ups and downs in the first few weeks of the season, but the performance seems to be getting better and better in October. The guests was in the lead before the first quarter in Hamburg and Domagoj Duvnjak´s 5–6 became a springboard to an increased advantage.

Duvnjak and Emil Wernsdorf Madsen scored six goals each and Andreas Wolff was the best goalkeeper on the pitch with a steady stream of eleven saves.

Eisenach celebrated their first home win of the season, when Wetzlar couldn’t keep up in the goal summary. Marko Grgic, currently fourth in the top scorer list produced another eight hits and Eisenach put some distance down to losing team, including doubling the points collected. Matija Spikic was another major contributor to the home team, with a total of 18 saves.

Bundesliga provides plenty of weekend action, with the obvious highlight Saturday afternoon as SG Flensburg-Handewitt and SC Magdeburg clinch.
