Johannes Golla reportedly wants to terminate his contract with MT Melsungen early and return to SG Flensburg-Handewitt due to family reasons, according to German newspaper BILD.
The Germany captain joined Melsungen from Flensburg ahead of the season and signed a contract running until 2031. However, BILD reports that Golla has informed the club of his wish to leave early, with a return to Flensburg his preferred destination.
According to BILD, Melsungen have confirmed that Golla has asked to end his contract early and that his family wants to return to Flensburg. Melsungen sporting director Jesper Larsson reportedly said the club respects Golla’s wish, although the situation will require further negotiations.
BILD also reports that negotiations between Melsungen and Flensburg have already begun.
