Nicolas Tournat has returned to HBC Nantes, signing a three-year contract.
– Returning to Nantes brings me nothing but joy and excitement, said Tournat on the club’s website.
Tournat spent six years with Nantes before joining Kielce in 2020. Now, at 30 years old, the pivot is returning to France and Nantes.
– I am extremely happy. I will come back with a different level of responsibility and a conquering spirit. I want to bring my experience and determination to this group to help the club achieve its goals, said the player himself.
With 95 appearances for the French national team and three consecutive Polish Championships, along with being named the best pivot in France three times, Tournat brings a wealth of experience to the team.
– We welcome Nico’s return with immense enthusiasm. At 30, he returns to the violet home at the peak of his career, with a completely different status: that of an Olympic champion who has become one of the best in the world at his position, said the club’s president Gaël Pelletier about Tournat.
