Media: New club in the hunt for Mahé

Kentin Mahé will leave Telekom Veszprém after the season. Now, HBC Nantes has entered the race to sign the frenchman – who would join as a medical joker.

Telekom Veszprém has already confirmed that this season will be Kentin Mahé’s last in the Hungarian powerhouse – as he will leave when his contract expires during the summer.

This has sparked some rumors about Mahé’s future. Earlier, it has been stated that he is close to a move to Bergischer, but now, new information points in another direction.

According to Ouest-France, Mahé is attracting interest from HBC Nantes back in France. According to the information Mahé could joins as a medical joker to replace Rik Ovnicek, who is set to be out with an injury during the spring.

Mahé left France during his youth career and if a move to Nantes would materialize it would mean that the national team player would make his debut in his native league.
