Exciting matchups in Coupe de France

The first round of Coupe de France has 32 teams competing. The reigning champion, Montpellier HB has a 200 kilometer journey to the north, where Valence HB await the top team.

Handnews reports of the draw for the games taking place September 3. Most Starligue competitors will play away, Paris Saint-Germain in the city of Caen in Normandy and HBC Nantes has the fusion club of Pau Billere as a host in the Pyrénées.

The cup starts early in the 2025/26 season and a win will send teams through to the round of 16. The final clash last year saw Montpellier defeat PSG in a tight duel, 36–35.
