After weeks of international break, the big club games are back on track, starting with PSG taking on Montpellier in the semifinals of Coupe de France today, March 20th. The other semifinal features Toulouse at home against HBC Nantes.
With the Olympic qualifiers out of the way, men’s international club handball can now resume. It begins with a significant match: PSG versus Montpellier in the Coupe de France.
PSG has emerged victorious in their last three times the two teams faced each other. However, similar to the previous games, the Parisians will have to manage without key players like Elohim Prandi, Kent Robin Tonnesen, and Ferran Solé, all currently injured, along with Dominik Mathé, whose season is over.
On the contrary, Montpellier has a fully fit squad, except for the absence of promising left-back Kylian Prat, who is has an knee injury.
In the other semifinal, Nantes emerges as the major favorites if their current form continues, having only one loss since the end of October.
The final between the two winners will take place May 18th in Adidas Arena, Paris.
