The European Handball Federation (EHF) has announced the place distribution for its men’s and women’s club competitions in the 2025/26 season. The ranking is based on the results of the clubs’ performances over the three seasons from 2021/22 to 2023/24.
In the Machineseeker EHF Champions League, there have been significant changes. Croatia has climbed six places, from 14th to 8th, while Romania has advanced from 11th to 7th. This means that both Croatia and Romania now have a team that qualifies directly for the competition. In total, nine direct places are allocated in the Machineseeker EHF Champions League, while seven places are open for upgrades.
For the EHF Champions League Women, the allocation of places remains unchanged compared to the previous season. As for Russia, only the results from the last season in which Russian teams participated (2021/22) have been considered. Russia is ranked sixth, but as they are currently suspended, only eight direct places will be allocated in the EHF Champions League Women, with eight upgrades available.
All fixed places are subject to meeting the requirements for registration to the EHF Champions League.
