Karolina Kudłacz-Gloc officially announces end of career

The back court icon from Poland, Karolina Kudłacz-Gloc recently announced her retirement. The financial problems of HB Ludwigsburg didn’t allow for a proper goodbye which the 41-year-old now puts into words in social media.

After an impressive title race with her German clubs, Ludwigsburg (previously SG BBM Bietigheim) and HC Leipzig and nearly 200 national games in the red and white jersey Kudlacz-Gloc steps down.

”it’s time to officially close these beautiful sports doors and finally be open to new, different, unknown”, she writes on Instagram.

While the ongoing season didn’t play out as Kudlacz-Gloc had hoped, she still received well deserved tribute when the Bundesliga organisation presented her with the HBF award for an outstanding career”.

Kudlacz-Gloc finishes her post with a message to the fans.

”There could have been more of these beautiful moments, but I am grateful for the time we shared together. Thank you for your support, for your presence, for never forgetting…

I want you to know that everything I did and how I did it was always with love for the red and white. It’s fine as it is… Thank you, Handball for everything”, she writes.
