Czech eyes hosting Men’s EHF EURO 2030 final

Denmark, Poland, and the Czech Republic plan to host the Men’s EHF EURO 2030. If they succeed, the final will be played in Prague.

Handball in the Czech Republic and other Central European countries has shown rising interest, and with the Women’s Euros 2026 being played there along with the Women’s World Championship in 2031, the Czech Republic now has its eyes on a third Championship.

– We can promise fans that if we secure the hosting of the championship in 2030, the final weekend, including the medal matches, will be held in Prague, said Ondřej Zdráhala, President of the Czech Handball Federation, to Česka Házena.

If they are successful, the games will be played in Herning, Denmark, and in Katowice, Poland, along with Prague.

– I am convinced that the Men’s European Handball Championship can be another step towards Prague becoming a center of European sports, said Prague Councilor for Education and Sports Antonín Klecanda.
