The previous head the EHF refereeing commission, Dragan Nachevski was scrutinized after a TV2 documentary. The judicial aftermath is still ongoing and EHF Court of Handball suspends Nachevski for a period of two years.
The documentary focused on match fixing, as Nachevski in a hidden camera meeting with a businessman was made an offer on the topic.
Even though Nachevski declined the offer, he neglected to report the occurrence in the internal systems of the federation.
Court of Handball strikes down on the very same fact in its second treatment of the case.
”Nachevski is suspended from carrying out any functions within the EHF and participating in any EHF activities for two years as of the date of the decision”, writes eurohandball.com.
Meanwhile, EHF has only dealt with the non-reporting side of things.
”Legal procedures and investigations concerning a lack of integrity and betting irregularities are still ongoing”, according to the website of the federation.
