Marko Bezjak´s Croatian suspension confirmed

After a collision with a delegate, Marko Bezjak was suspended by the Croatian Handball federation. The event took place in April 2024 and the review by EHF Court of Handball upholds the domestic decision.

Bezjak played for RK Nexe when the incident occurred and has since then transferred to HC Erlangen in Germany. Now the Slovenian player is effectively banned from participating any club or national team competition sanctioned by EHF until 9 April 2025.

”The EHF Court of Handball has reviewed the relevant documents and concluded that the imposed suspension complies with the general principles of law and with the EHF Regulations”, writes eurohandball.com.

The playmaker, performed on a high level for SC Magdeburg for a decade, still has the possibility for an appeal to bring the case to EHF Court of Appeal.
