Copenhagen HB crushed EH Aalborg in a Friday showdown. For the Swiss player in the home team, Tabea Schmid the intense performance was unforgettable. Schmid had a perfect percentage birth in pivot opportunities and penalty shots – 17 goals in all.
Schmid had a previous season boost as a star for Switzerland during Euro 2024 and caught attention with an upcoming move to Team Esbjerg.
But the statistics for the recent game lift the 21-year-old to a rare level. On ten attempts from close range, Schmid put all in the net. From the seven metre-position there was an equal stream of clean shots, seven out of seven in the incredible effort.
The MEP (most effective player) value rose to 11,74 which certainly will be a struggle for the other top contenders in the league over time.
Schmid is currently second in the overall goal scorer list, just two behind Mai Kragballe from Horsens. Copenhagen used 42–32 against Aalborg to take over fifth position with three games to go.
