Super Landin as Aalborg win Danish Cup

For the second year in a row, Aalborg Håndbold are Danish Cup champions. The title was secured after a dominant 34–24 performance against Ringsted in the final.

After defeating GOG in the semifinal yesterday, Aalborg were huge favorites heading into the final against Ringsted. And the outcome was never in doubt, as the reigning champions put their foot on the gas right from the start.

Offensively, plenty of players contributed, with playmaker Thomas Arnoldsen driving the attacks. But it was on the defensive side of the game that Aalborg really stood out.

With great help from the defense in front of him, Nicklas Landin completely shut down the Ringsted offense. The goalkeeper recorded thirteen saves, finishing with an incredible 57% save percentage in the first half.

With Ringsted managing only ten goals before the break the game was effectively over by halftime. Aalborg were able to rotate their players in the second half, cruising to another cup title.
