PLAY: Axel Månsson off to a flying start at Skjern

Aalborg may have won the pre-season clash 31–28 after a strong finish, but it was arguably Axel Månsson who impressed the most – making an early mark in his new Skjern shirt.

Several Swedish players have made the move to Denmark ahead of the new season, with Skjern adding three Swedish players to their squad. Oscar Carlén has taken over as head coach, while the club have also brought in three Swedish signings: Alfred Arnelin, Hugo Stuivers and, last but certainly not least, Axel Månsson. Kristian Zetterlund was already part of the squad.

All three new signings have been given plenty of playing time during pre-season, but Månsson has arguably stood out the most. The Swedish centre-back has been trusted with a major role and has delivered with plenty of goals and assists – something he showed again in Wednesday’s friendly against Aalborg.

Aalborg came out on top, but Månsson once again caught the eye, making an impact both as a scorer and a playmaker.
