Odense without point loss in Danish league

Odense HB enjoyed all wins and maximum points in the danish league stage. The candidature to take over the trophy makes Odense the team to beat in the upcoming play-off, with Team Esbjerg followed by Ikast HB as the most likely threats.

The first place was already secured when Odense travelled to Aarhus HB. But the prospect of 26 triumphs on 26 attempted thrilled the guests and Aarhus’s aim to avoid relegation proved futile.

Maren Aardahl found the net nine times and Yara Ten Holte had a solid afternoon between the posts with 15 saves.

Odense won by seven point as Team Esbjerg and Ikast HB duelled for a tie. Esbjerg was behind by six goals at half-time and Henny Reistad had almost the entire game off due to a slight injury.

The top goal scorer, Tabea Schmid in Copenhagen HB scored 205 times from the pivot position and penalty line. Mai Kragballe (194) and Henny Reistad (180) joined Schmid on the podium.

Esbjerg´s comeback to 28 all was fueled by Sarah Dekker and Mette Tranborg. Besides holding on to the second place, Esbjerhg brings two points to the playoff-series while Ikast starts with one point.
