It is uncertain when Landin will be able to play again. A persistent eye injury continues to trouble the Danish national team goalkeeper Niklas Landin. A medical examination conducted on Monday revealed this ongoing issue.
Aalborg Handball will have to manage without their goalkeeper, Niklas Landin, in Thursday’s home semifinal against Skjern. This information was announced on Aalborg Handball’s official website.
– It is still uncertain when Landin will be able to play again, as it depends on the healing process. That being said, we are of course following things very closely and hope that he will be able to play again in a short time, says Aalborg Handball’s director, Jan Larsen.
Last week, Landin left the Danish national team camp due to an eye injury, causing him to miss both weekend test matches against Norway and Croatia. Specifically, he has a hemorrhage in his right retina, which occurred after an incident during the Herreliga match against Bjerringbro-Silkeborg on May 5th.
The Monday afternoon examination showed that the eye injury has not healed sufficiently. Consequently, Landin will not be able to participate in Thursday’s semifinal against Skjern Håndbold.
