Mathilde Neesgaard set for comeback in the Danish league

Mathilde Neesgaard is on track gaining CL experience with Rapid Bucharest this season. Horsens HH guarantee the playmaker a central position and have agreed on a contract for three upcoming years, according to a press announcement.

Neesgaard career abroad last just a single season, as she left Århus United in the spring and return to Denmark and Horsens HH next summer.

However, the 30 year old player hope to take her next time to international level.

– The project in HH Elite has it all and suit me both on sport and personal level, It is a club with some ambition going forward, which fit my own. My dream is to play European handball with HH Elite, she says via club communication.

Neesgaard have contributed to several danish teams, including FCM Handball, Holstebro and Ringkøbing. Her new contract run until 2027.

Swedish national player Kristin Thorleifsdottir earlier announced her intent to leave Horsens at the end of 2023/24. By signing Neesgaard, Horsens have a capable replacement ready for  back court performances.
