Mads Mensah Larsen back in Danish league

Mads Mensah takes over as a genuine back court threat for Skjern HB. A four-year deal is announced by the Danish top flight club, following a consistent rumour from TV2.

Mensah Larsen just ended his eleventh year playing Bundesliga pro handball, leaving SG Flensburg-Handewitt. The medal winning performances as a pillar in the national team also accompany the 33-year-old to Skjern.

– I have great ambitions with the move to Skjern and will still do everything to continue to be relevant for the Danish A-national team.

– The competition is great on the national team, but I feel that I still have the level to be part of it. I have heard very good things about Skjern Handball from former players, and it has only confirmed to me that this is the right step for my family and me, he says to the club webpage.

For Skjern, Mensah seems the perfect pit to compensate for the loss of Noah Gaudin (to Paris Saint-Germain).

– The squad looks incredibly exciting, and I am looking forward to becoming part of the club. I have tried a lot in my career and been lucky to experience and win many titles, but I am far from finished. I am hungry to win titles with Skjern, and I will do everything to succeed, Mensah continues on the club website only days before joining the squad for preseason training.
