After a tough battle with cancer, Skjern player Jonathan Würtz has finally received the joyful news that he is free from the disease. This was announced by Skjern Håndbold on Tuesday, who shared the happiness with fans on social media.
Jonathan Würtz has undergone an extensive chemotherapy treatment to combat his cancer. After a challenging journey, he is now officially cancer-free. The club reported that the news was met with cheers and jubilation from Würtz and his teammates in the locker room.
Skjern Håndbold wrote the following on their Instagram account:
“Fantastic news: Jonathan Würtz is cancer-free! After a long chemotherapy treatment, Jonathan Würtz received the utterly fantastic news that he is now free from cancer. It was celebrated with cheers in the locker room together with teammates. Rehabilitation now begins with the aim of making a comeback on the handball court.”
Jonathan Würtz is in his final season in Skjern Håndbold. After the season, he will transfer to Ribe-Esbjerg.
