The golden Team Esbjerg and quality newcomer TMS Ringsted had the best coaches during 2023/24. The prizes to Jesper Jensen and Marc Uhd was awarded at a conference where domestic trainer colleagues voted, according to the national federation website.
Jensen´s final season with Team Esbjerg led to 35 victories over 36 games and title renewal. Since the award, coach of the year was introduced in 2014, the 46-year-old has won five times.
Uhd inspired TMS Ringsted to an unexpected level for many experts. Despite being pointed out as a relegation team, the newcomer advanced to the play-offs and was a contender for a semifinal spot. Uhd received about half of the votes among the head coaches in the top flight teams.
