Mikkel Hansen is back in the Danish national team. Nikolaj Jacobsen announced his squad for the Olympic preparations earlier this Monday.
– The gathering will be used to play a lot to see which line-ups work and what we can use during the Olympics, Jacobsen said in a press release.
Denmark, who took the silver medal at the last Olympics, has announced their preparation squad for the tournament in Paris. Nikolaj Jacobsen’s squad, which currently consists of 20 players, has to be reduced to 14 players and three reserves before the 8th of July.
– We need to see where people stand physically after a long season, because it will be a tough summer with over six weeks of training and games, says Jacobsen.
Mikkel Hansen, who hasn’t been available to play for the national team because of injury, is now back in the squad.
– Hopefully, it won’t be my last game ever, and I can’t say more, said Mikkel Hansen, laughing, to Danish TV 2 Sport after Sunday’s Champions League final against Barcelona.
