A new season record was achieved in the Danish League. Odense HB produced 45 goals and left the newcomer Bjerringbro fH far behind with only 22 goals in the other end.
Odense had a midweek game with another Champions League task coming up and completed with a few changes in the set-up. For Bjerringbro it was one those nights were the opposition was unreachable and ran away.
Odense had several spearheads, Clara Skyum Thomsen with nine hits and Helene Fauske with eight. All in all, the most promising feature was Louise Burgaard´s first minutes of the season.
The back court star who transfered from Metz HB brought an injury in the achilles tendon back home from the Olympic Games and the rehab lasted three months. Burgaard played only defense in the comeback game.
– That’s the least burdensome for the achilles tendon, so it was a good start. I´ve only had four trainings in the attack, but I´ve been in defense for two-three weeks, she said to TV2.
After eight rounds, Odense is two points ahead of Team Esbjerg and Ikast HB at the very top of the tables.
Bjerringbro fH–Odense HB 22–45 (11–22)
