Danish international Emil Bergholt will leave Skjern in the summer of 2026, according to Danish TV2. The line player is set to replace Lukas Jørgensen at SG Flensburg-Handewitt, as Jørgensen is rumored to be heading to Veszprém.
Bergholt has been with Skjern since 2021 and has grown into one of the club’s key players. However, his time in Danish club handball is coming to an end. According to TV2, the national team player has agreed to join SG Flensburg-Handewitt.
At Flensburg, he is expected to fill the void left by Lukas Jørgensen, who has previously been linked with a move to Veszprém.
Bergholt has earned 18 caps for Denmark and was part of the squad that secured the nation’s fourth consecutive World Championship title last winter.
