The season start has shown how hard it is to find a match for Aalborg HB in the domestic league. After the Sunday clash the top ranked team stands alone with maximum points after four rounds, Skjern HB had to cope with a worrying gap early on towards 29–35.
Champions League is one thing, Herreligaen something completely different for the strong squad. Aalborg provided powerful breakthrough action from Mads Hoxer, competent goalkeeping from Niklas Landin and well placed shots from Lukas Nilsson to run away with 20–12 at half-time.
The second part of the game only proved further focus on the dominance. Skjern remained out of striking distance, allowing more joy in the comeback for Alexander Blonz on the left wing.
In the current table, Aalborg is one point ahead of Mors-Thy, SkanderborgArhus and GOG trails with six points each.
