Aalborg bounce back to winning ways

Reigning Danish champions Aalborg Håndbold managed a late comeback against KIF. Despite trailing with ten minutes to go, Aalborg finished the game strong, winning 37–32.

After suffering a twelve-goal loss to GOG in their previous match, Aalborg were looking to get back to winning ways as they welcomed KIF. The home side started the game well, with Juri Knorr scoring four early goals as Aalborg took an early lead.

However, KIF soon took over. Four quick goals turned the score around, and from that point on, the away side were in control. Hjalte Langeland had great success, scoring nine goals against an Aalborg defence that struggled to get stops.

With just eight minutes left on the clock, KIF led 31–29, and it looked as though Aalborg were about to drop points for a second consecutive game. But then the home side showed their class. Scoring seven goals while conceding just one in the final eight minutes, Aalborg turned the game around and secured two important points to keep pace at the top of the table.

Three other games were played in the Danish League. Ringsted defeated Nordsjælland 32–26, Sønderjyske won comfortably 34–24 against Mors-Thy, and Skjern edged a 34–31 victory over Bjerringbro-Silkeborg.
