World Games a chance for beach handball success

From Thursday 7 August and onwards Beach handball is on the agenda on championship level. Chengdu, China is the site for World Games with 16 teams from ten nations competing for gold.

World Games, the multi-sport event for disciplines that’s not on the olympic program returns for the twelfth edition. Beach handball has been an official event since 2013 with Croatia (men) and Germany (women) as the defending champion.

IHF presents the draw which makes up for a preliminary round before all competing teams duel in quarter-finals. All in all 48 games will lead to awarded medals, two out of the total 253 in World Games 2025.
