The Asian Handball Championship also serves as a qualification for the Men’s World Championship. Since Kuwait has advanced to the semifinals, it also means that the team will participate in the World Championship
In the ongoing championship, Kuwait progressed as the second-placed team in Group A, trailing behind Qatar. Subsequently, they advanced to the Main Round, where they faced Iraq, the Republic of Korea, and Bahrain. Following victories over Iraq and draws against both the Republic of Korea and Bahrain, Kuwait secured the top spot in their group.
This accomplishment not only propels Kuwait into the semifinals of the ongoing championship but also ensures their qualification for the 2025 World Championship. For Kuwait, this marks their first participation in the World Championship since the year 2009.
