Asian Championship: Can Qatar keep on dominating?

January is the mont of championships. Except for the Euros and the African Championship the Asian Men’s Handball Championship will also take place in Bahrain – a tournament where Qatar will look to keep on dominating.

Between January 11-25 the 16 best teams of Asia will be in Bahrain to fight for the medals in the Asian Men’s Handball Championship 2024.

Republic of Korea, Japan and five-time reigning champions Qatar is among the teams that will be present and except for the glory and joy of a medal – the top-four teams will also be directly qualified for the World Cup in Denmark, Croatia and Norway in 2025.

The games will be played on two separate arenas – Bahrain Handball Federation Hall and Sheikh Khalifa Sports City Hall. The games will be broadcasted from the Youtube channel Aqmar4k.handball

This year’s tournament is the 21st edition and even if Qatar secures another victory, they will not be able to catch up to Republic of Korea with nine gold medals.
