The fourth edition of the South and Central American Women’s Handball Championship runs from 26 to 30 November in Niterói, Brazil. Six teams: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, El Salvador, Paraguay, and Uruguay – will compete in a round-robin format for three spots at the 2025 IHF Women’s World Championship.
Reigning champions Brazil, undefeated in the tournament’s history with 14 straight wins since 2021, are strong favorites to claim their fourth title. Key players include Gabriela Moreschi, Bruna de Paula, and Adriana Cardoso
Argentina, led by new coach Mariano Munoz, aim to challenge Brazil for the top spot after finishing second in all previous editions. Paraguay and Chile, past bronze medalists, will battle for the third qualifying spot, while debutants El Salvador and underdogs Uruguay add intrigue to the competition
