Petro Atletico secures 20th title in thrilling final

Petro Atletico claimed victory at the Women’s African Club Championship, marking their first title since 2013. They triumphed in the final against Tunisian side ASF Sahel with a score of 35–30 after extra time.

In the group stage, Petro Atlético showcased their strength and easily advanced to the knockout rounds. They defeated Abidjan HBC 45–23 in the quarter-finals and Al-Ahly 31–18 in the semi-finals, demonstrating their dominance throughout the tournament.

In the final Petro Atlético faced Tunisian side ASF Sahel in a thrilling match. After a tightly contested game that ended 25–25 in regulation time, the match went into extra time. Petro Atlético pulled ahead to secure a 35–30 victory. It was Petro Atletico’s 20th title in history, while Al-Ahly clinched the bronze medal, with a 31:22 win over Congo side AS Otoho.
