Nairobi Water and NPCB splits the titles in Nairobi

NPCB had hopes of securing a double during the final day of the East and Central Africa Handball Clubs Championships. But the dreams quickly disappeared after Nairobi Water’s final win.

Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi was the scene where the finals of the East and Central Africa Handball Clubs Championship were played during the Saturday.

NPCB were on the hunt for a double, with teams in the finals for men and women. But in a tight final against Nairobi Water the double dreams were crushed after a tough loss with 24–27.

After the initial loss the men’s team went after the redemption – and they got it. In an even tighter final against Gicumbi, who beat Rwanda Police in the semis, NPCB came out victorious with 34–32

After the finals the news outlet nation.africa published its All-Star-team of the tournament. NPCB is represented by four players in the men’s team and two players in the women’s team.
