Algeria fires coach just one month before African Men´s Handball Championship

The African Men´s Handball Championship is just one month away. But now Algerian Handball Federation announces that Saleh Bushkrew is dismissed as the coach of the national team.

The African Men´s Handball Championship is the official competition for senior national handball teams of Africa, and takes place every two years. In addition to crowning the African champions, the tournament also serves as a qualifying tournament for the 2025 World Men´s Handball Championship, with the top five nations qualifying.

Saleh Bushkrew was the head coach of the Algerian national team. The Algerian Handball Federation now announces that the head coach is dismissed, due to disciplinary reasons. A new coach will be presented within the next week.
