Larvik HK opts for a new coaching solution. That means Arne Senstad will have to quit the job after two seasons. TV2 Norway brings the news with confirmation from the club management.
– We are very happy with the sporting development, but we disagree about how to take the club forward, explains the chairman of the board Geir Anton Haga to the TV channel.
– We have worked a lot on that, but have not found a solution. And now we have agreed to disagree. Then we found that it was best to break off the cooperation now. It is not a pleasant situation to end up in, but we have to come together as a team and move forward, Haga continues.
Senstad had one year left on his contract when the decision came to part ways. The 55-year-old who still is in charge of the national team in Poland choses to not comment the matter to TV2.
The club’s struggle with economy might be part of the explanation. As an example, Larvik didn’t manage to renew the deal with prominent star Heidi Løke.
