IFK Kristianstad reportedly interested in Andreas Palicka

Could Andreas Palicka be set for a return to Swedish handball? According to Kristianstadsbladet, IFK Kristianstad are once again exploring the possibility of signing the experienced goalkeeper ahead of next season.

Palicka has spent much of his career playing abroad and currently represents Füchse Berlin. However, the 40-year-old’s contract with the German club is set to expire next summer.

According to Kristianstadsbladet, Palicka is among the names being considered by Kristianstad as the club assesses its goalkeeping options for the 2027/28 season.

The situation is partly driven by uncertainty surrounding Hayder Khafadji Lundbäck, whose contract expires at the end of the season. The goalkeeper is reportedly keen on another move abroad.

This is not the first time Kristianstad have attempted to secure Palicka’s services. In 2024, the Swedish club expressed serious interest in signing him following his departure from PSG. However, Palicka ultimately joined Norwegian side Kolstad.

Whether Kristianstad can succeed this time remains to be seen. A potential move would mark a high-profile return to Swedish club handball for the former Sweden international.
