Hannover-Burgdorf has lost one of their key players to injury. During their 31-29 win against Bietigheim, center back Leif Tissier suffered a fracture in his left hand that could keep the playmaker off the field for up to eight weeks.
It has been a promising start to the season for Hannover. Three wins and a draw from their first five games puts them sixth in the table, just outside the European spots. Their latest victory came in a close battle away from home against Bietigheim.
Despite having a significant first-half lead, Hannover were challenged late in the game and had to show real resilience to hold on to a two-goal win. But the victory also came with a tough loss for Hannover.
After a hard fall during the game, center back Leif Tissier suffered an injury to his left hand. After scans, it was confirmed to be a fracture that will keep Tissier out for a while.
Reports say that the center back will avoid having to undergo surgery, but the injury could keep Tissier out for as long as eight weeks.
